Firefly Fire Protection Products

BS.476 Part 21, describes how to test the fire resistance of loadbearing beams, columns, floors, flat roofs and walls using the heating and pressure conditions of BS.476-20. It includes guidance on, specimen selection, design and construction, loading and restraint conditions, equipment, procedures and criteria applicable to loadbearing speciments.

The method is also used to determine the ability of a fire protection product to protect (insulate) structural steelwork. such products include: intumescent coatings, board, casings and spray applied non-reactive coatings.

The FIREFLY TITAN system achieves this for both timber and steel in a single layer when installed according to the FIREFLY recommended installation drawings for Part.21.
